Four one-way streets converge on this city bridge that carries more than 55,000 cars every day. The bridge is also home to Oregon's largest piece of mechanical engineering. Giant gears housed under the deck lift the drawbridge. Once the longest span west of the Mississippi, this is the third bridge to be built at this site. It affords the best river view of Waterfront Park and the Hawthorne Bridge.
