This tiny park opposite the railway station was designed in 1858 and recently restored after the construction of the tramway that runs alongside. It offers a pleasant spot to await your chosen means of transport. Featuring an unusual water fountain crowned by a moss covered rock, there are also several exotic tree species. At the centre of the park, a bust of the scientist Emile Planchon (1823-1888) remembers the role he played in the fight against the Phylloxera disease, notably by introducing from the United States vines resistant to the disease that devastated the French wine industry.
