Once the summer residence of the local, impressionist painter Frederic Bazille (1841-1870), this family property is now a city park. The house and garden are not open to the public, but the 12 hectares of parkland, with majestic trees, meadows and pine and maple woodland, are open all year round. There are views over the city centre and of the village of Castelnau which inspired several paintings by the famous artist.
