Centro de Estudios Lationamericanos Romulo Gallegos or Casa Romulo Gallegos, named after the famous writer and former Venezuelan president, is in fact Casa de America Latina (the Latin American House). The main purpose of this institution is to work on the cultural integration of the different Latin American nations and the Caribbean, as well as the study and promotion of "Latin American thought," focusing on the life and works of Romulo Gallegos. In its modern Altamira premises, you will also find a restaurant and a cafe, both of them quite good. For cinema and theatre times and other events, please refer to their weekly program.
