Bus Linie 8Tingbjerg, Gavlhusvej/Refshaleøen, Copenhagen, DenmarkBus line number 8 is a public means of transport, but on its route it passes some of the important spots on the Copenhagen city map, thus offering a kind of sightseeing tour. The bus goes between Tingbjerg station in Bronshoj, the suburb town northwest of Copenhagen, and Refshaleoen, a large island north of Christianshavn. Along the way from Tingbjerg, the bus passes Frederiksberg, the quiet part of town with all the stately looking villas, and Radhuspladsen, the large square with the Town Hall. Then you can see Christiansborg, where the Parliament sits, and afterwards the bus drives on to Christianshavn with its idyllic cafe areas, canals and old buildings. Passing Christiania, the famous independent hippie area established in the 1960s, the bus will take you to Holmen, a former marine area and new home to the Art Schools. The route ends at Refshaleoen, where there isn't really much apart from old industrial buildings and windmills. Bus tickets can be bought on the bus, but if you want a punch ticket, you have to buy them at DSB stations or some supermarkets and petrol stations.
