Millennium WayBelfast, United KingdomTel: +44 28 9066 2259 There has been a lamentable lack of cycle paths in Belfast. Thankfully a new cycle path has been built linking Whiteabbey in the north east to Lisburn on the southern extremity. A 30 kilometre route passes through the heart of Belfast. Water is the linking theme: you come into Belfast along the shore of the Lough. Stop off and check out the seabirds at the bird-watching hides along the way. The path will take you through to the Laganside development, to Clarendon Dock and then on past the Waterfront Hall towards the tow path that follows the river Lagan into Lisburn. The cycle path brushes past Queen's University and accesses key train stations, which means you can extend your outbound journey and then take the easy way home.
