For those who are familiar with the Congregacion de La Salle or the Hermanos de las Escuelas Cristianas in other countries, it seems unusual that, in Venezuela, they are known specially for their relationship with natural sciences. This is mainly due to the immense work initiated by Hermano Gines and continued for years by scientists and technicians who are both members and non-members of the Congregation. This venture took the name La Salle Society for Natural Sciences, and it now manages numerous nature research centers, and training and promotion in these fields. The society even has its own ocean research vessel. A panoramic view of this immense work can be appreciated from the exhibits on show at the museum. Entrance is free.
