Angel (El)

Avenida El Angel sin n�mero, Lima, Peru

This is located next to the Matias Maestro necropolis, one of the oldest cemeteries in Lima. Its interior is home to magnificent works of sculpted Italian marble and also mausoleums of the same material. It was opened on the 27 June 1959, when Doctor Manuel Prado was the President of the Republic. This is one of the city's cemeteries which, for a long time, served as a chapel and a convent. It is divided into four rectangular areas which are enclosed behind symmetrical bars.
