Casa del OidorPlaza Mayor, Lima, PeruThis is considered one of the oldest houses in all of Lima, because it dates back to the 17th Century. According to local tradition, the women from Lima would hide behind the shutters of their balconies to watch what was happening in the square, without being seen. It was built shortly after the city was founded. At present, it is closed to the public, but its beautiful balconies can be seen from the square.
