The April Fair is a time to attend one of the most important bullfighting events of the country. The Real Maestranza Bullring brings together the season's best bullfighters and fills the stands with an enthusiastic audience that genuinely understands the art. Designed by Vicente San Martin 1758, the bullring is one of the best-known in the world. Of special note is the Prince's Door, where winning bullfighters are carried out triumphantly on the shoulders of fellow men before the demanding audience. Very few bullfighters manage this feat every April.
