At one time a hospital, the church of San Lazaro has one nave only and individual chapels in the Mudejar style. (Mudejar: Islamic influence of the 12th to 16th centuries.) Inside can be found a collection of painted murals of great merit on the theme of death. Restored and enlarged, the church is located in a popular area of Malaga, la calle Victoria (Victoria Street). This is a busy commercial area, where there are many restaurants and typical tapas bars. Mass: 6:30p & 7:30p Saturday, 10a, 11:30a, 12:30p, 8p Sunday
