Paseo Los ProceresLos Próceres, Fuerte Tiuna, Caracas, VenezuelaThis is a monumental complex of historical monuments built in 1956 to honor the National Heroes of Venezuela's Independence. It is these very same national heroes that give this two-kilometer long avenue its name; it spans from the gates of Universidad Central de Venezuela (Central University of Venezuela, its largest) to the Military Academy and is made up of Avenida Los Ilustres, Avenida La Nacionalidad and Avenida Los Proceres. Along this Avenue, one may admire ornamental works of art that are perfectly integrated in the fresh landscapes provided by the lush gardens and trees that populate it. This place is frequented by jogging and exercise lovers, as well as those who appreciate a place for a leisurely chat or quiet relaxation.
