The German Riding Club was established in 1915 and has been the venue for the challenging equestrian Derby General San Martin. It is adjacent to the Lagos de Palermo (Palermo Lakes Golf Club) and has fences and a running track along with natural obstacles such as ponds and poles. Cultural events also often take place here and exchanges with other entities are signed. Their equestrian school trains for jumping, eventing, dressage, riding, and vaulting (acrobatics on horseback). Equine exhibitions also take place here and are free to the public. Classes are affordable and available for non-members.
