It displays a collection of colonial religious objects, considered to be the best in Latin America. The highlight of the museum is the custodia La Lechuga (a monstrance) that dates back to the 18th century. It is 4902 grams of pure gold encrusted with precious stones; 1485 emeralds, 28 diamonds, 13 rubies, 62 pearls, one sapphire, 168 amethysts and one topaz. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions of religious art. Admission is free
