In 1969, the museum was opened, sharing some of the space with the convent's monks. Presently, it houses an extensive collection of colonial and religious art in the tranquillity of the former convent. The most outstanding pieces are valuable Cusco paintings representing the life of Saint Francis, silverworks, religious ornaments and imagery, and oil paintings. Admission is CLP700 for adults and CLP250 for children and students.
