San Diego-Coronado BridgeI-5 Coronado Bridge exit, (becomes Route 75 into Coronado), San Diego, CATel: Not available The Big Blue as many locals know it, is the 2.2 mile-long San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge that spans from downtown to the island of Coronado. Built in 1969, this bridge carries 77,000 cars each day and is a major attraction in the city. Perhaps ironically, a favorite time to travel the bridge is during evening rush hour, as the gridlock provides a leisurely pace at which to catch the sunset.

“This is the more fascinating bridge I have seen in my life. But what is more astonishing is certainly the fact that I've seen that bridge in a dream five or six years ago. And today, my dream became true. Before using that incredible structure, I have never heard or read about it. - It was a true revelation -. Jean Paradise.
