Saint Mary of the Angels
17 Boulcott Street, Wellington, New ZealandTowering over the city, St Mary of the Angels stands out on this prominent central city site. Designed by Frederick de Jersey Clere, St Mary's was the first neo-gothic style building to be constructed from reinforced concrete in 1922. It replaced earlier churches that had stood on the site since January 1843. Come in and view the beautiful stained glass windows, a feature of this church that now has one of the smallest parishes in the city.
