This church has been declared a national monument by the Colombian government. The beautiful construction, dating back to the 17th century, adheres to the colonial style. The inside chapel has been decorated with paintings by well-known artists of the period. The view of the awe-inspiring Cerro de Monserrate is magnificent from outside the church .
