Iron used to be an important export product, and it used to be weighed at Jarntorget (the Iron Square): hence the name of this square. In the middle of the square, there's a statue of five female figures, symbolising the five continents. A few restaurants, shops, a community theatre (Folkteatern) and a community centre (Folkets Hus) are located around the square. Jarntorget is about a 15-minute walk from the city centre. If you don't feel like walking then you catch trams 1, 3, 4 or 9, or bus number 85 from Brunnsparken.
