Royal Belfast Academical InstitutionCollege Square East, Belfast, United KingdomTel: +44 28 9024 0461 The Royal Belfast Academical Institution is perhaps the finest example of Georgian architecture in Belfast. It was designed by the great English architect Sir John Soane and finally completed in 1807. Even though a lot of its original grounds were taken over by the neighbouring school for the deaf, it still dominates College Square East with its beautifully kept lawns and simple, classical elegance. It continues in its academic function as one of the best grammar schools in the city.
