Visit one of the few remaining habitats of the red squirrel, a species that many people fear will be obsolete in the next twenty years. Managed by the National Trust, the sign-posted squirrel walk is just half a mile long and is perfect for children, while the slightly longer Cornerstone Walk also offers many interesting features. There are plenty of photo opportunities to capture the antics of the tame squirrels as they scramble for food, but remember to take a bag of peanuts for close up shots. Admission: free

- Dodging cars going to the car park.
“Fabulous place to take the kids and keep them entertained and show them wildlife up close - if they get tired of the squirrels and feeding them, there's wanders through the woods and walks along the beach searching for shells and driftwood.”
