It is located on Kloppstockplatz in the lovely Ottensen district near Altona, and was built between 1735-1738. The beautiful Elbchaussee along the river Elbe starts here at Kloppstockplatz. Inside the church you can admire a 13th century font which lies upon a more modern plinth. The church has a graveyard where the famous poet Friedrich Gottlieb Kloppstock is buried. You can visit his and his two wives' graves.
