The origins of this important arts facility date back to Chinese View '86 - the first festival of its kind to take place in Manchester, incorporating over 30 artistic and cultural events all over the city. The centre successfully aims to profile the best in Chinese art and culture - with the help of regular exhibitions, workshops and talks - and also runs a commissioning scheme to encourage indigenous Chinese artists by supporting them in their working lives through the provision of technical aid, marketing and publicity resources.
