The foundation stone was laid in 1904 and building continued until 1978. In addition to worship, there are also a number of concerts, exhibitions, recitals and graduations held here. Within the gallery, visitors can view a unique collection of Victorian and Edwardian embroidery. Tours can be arranged upon request. Admission is free, a GBP2 fee is charged for visits to the tower or the Embroidery Collection
