Although its building was opposed by many (it was constructed on a former site of an important archaeological dig), the Civic Offices provide a good insight into urban planning, Dublin style. The impressive glass atrium within plays host to rotating exhibitions of everything from community art to architectural developments planned for Dublin. A visit to the civic offices will give a taste of the process involved in building and managing a modern capital city.
