Oak HouseOak Road, West Bromwich, Birmingham, United KingdomTel: +44 121 553 0759 A beautiful gabled timber-framed building, Oak House is one of the finest of its kind in the Midlands. It dates back to the 16th century and has a rare lantern tower which was probably added in the 17th century. There are panelled rooms inside and a fine collection of furniture. The gardens are very pleasant, and John Wesley once preached here. Admission is free, except for special events, and the house closes an hour earlier in winter.
