National Provincial Bank Building8 Bennetts Hill, Birmingham, United KingdomTel: +44 121 693 6300 This fine Victorian sandstone building is at Bennetts Hill, and is now a public house (Bennetts). It was originally built as the National Provincial Bank in 1833, and was rebuilt in 1869, as the inscription around the building will tell you. It is of particular interest for its city coat of arms above the entrance and for its relief sculptures, just inside the entrance porch. The sculptures show craftsmen and industrial scenes and represent the enthusiasm of the bank to be connected with the enterprise of the city.
