Old Yardley School

The suburb of Yardley, to the south-east of the city centre, is one of Birmingham's largest and best known. There is evidence of a school here dating back to 1260 but this half-timbered building dates from the 15th century and may originally have been the Guild Hall. It was in use as a school until 1908 and currently houses parish rooms and a youth club.
