One of several half-timbered buildings that survive in various parts of the city, the Old Grammar School is one of the oldest in the Midlands and dates back to the 15th century. Only the upper floor is half-timbered, the ground floor being a later addition in brick. It is thought to have originally stood on stilts. School's been out here for a great many summers, but in recent years it has been used by the choir of the nearby church.
