University Museum of ZoologyDowning Street, Cambridge, United KingdomTel: +44 1223 336650 • Web: Visit this site » To find the Zoology Museum, look for the whale skeleton: the entrance is below it! Inside are specimens of numerous fauna ' birds and mammals, insects and fish ' yet the only living creatures here are the python in the lobby and the visitors themselves. Some of the first items in the collection came from Charles Darwin's expeditions. Later additions include both extinct and living species. Particularly scary is the ice age Giant Ground Sloth. Needless to say, children will love this place too. A disabled lift is available on request (to reach lower gallery). Opening hours are longer during the university's holiday period. Admission: free
