Daly's BridgeSunday's Well, Cork, IrelandTel: +353 21 427 3251 Situated across perhaps the most picturesque stretch of the River Lee in Cork City, Daly's Bridge of 1926 connects Sundays Well Road with the charming formal gardens of Fitzgerald Park. During the last century, ferry boats crossed the Lee at this spot. James Daly, a Cork businessman, took on the project of constructing the foot-bridge here in 1926. It's the only suspension bridge in Cork and was constructed by a London steel construction company owned by Mr. David R. Bell. The pedestrian walkway is made from timber planks and is four and a half feet wide.Daly's Bridge is known locally as the "Shaky Bridge" because you can feel it tremble as you make your way across - especially if you stomp your feet!
