As one drives towards Temple Fortune and the North Circular Road, College Farm reminds urban commuters of the pastoral idyll that was North London a few centuries ago. The small College Farm does not have any exotic animals, but instead has a collection of horses, cows, ducks, chickens and pigs. They specialize in rare breed cattle and shire horses. The open farm is a wonderful place to introduce young children to the animals they know as 'moo' from their storybooks. They also have the opportunity to touch them. It's a fabulous day out - bring some carrots for the horses! College Farm also has special open days the first weekend of each month and during the summer which are like small scale fairs - minus the noisy rides! Currently The Farm is shut to the public, but talks of reopening it once more are on. Please call for further details and information regarding the same.
