London PlanetariumMarylebone Road, London, United KingdomTel: +44 870 400 3000 • Web: Visit this site » Completed in 1958, the London Planetarium became the first planetarium in Britain and remains one of the largest in the world today. It is a great place to lose yourself in outer space, watching the stars projected onto a huge copper dome. If it feels like you are truly in the sky rather than just looking up at it, it's because the star projector used was developed by the US space agency NASA. Interactive videos and live satellite links add to the overall high-tech effect.
