Bristol Climbing Centre (The)Mina Road, St. Werburgh's Church, Bristol, United KingdomTel: +44 117 941 3489 One of the most exciting new sports to appear in Bristol in recent years has been indoor climbing, and in this centre the city can boast one of the best facilities in Britain. Built inside the otherwise disused Church of St Werburgh's, the centre offers courses and training for everyone, from school parties to corporate entertainment packages. Opened in 1992, it caters for complete beginners to national champion climbers. With over 200 climbs up to a height of 12 metres, ranging from novice areas to a demanding competition wall used in the British Indoor Climbing Championships, the centre offers a safe environment in which to discover a great new sport. And once you've learned, why not take the challenge of Avon Gorge!
