This place is like a tiny oasis of culture and calm amidst the slightly barren and traffic-choked expanse of Hotwells Road. It's been going strong since 1986, with a cafe added in 1990, so art-lovers can now take a break from browsing and enjoy a morning coffee, light lunch or afternoon tea - everything is home-made. The gallery specialises in contemporary paintings, but also offers a wide selection of ceramics, sculptures, jewellery and kiln-fired glass. A wide range of prices ensures that there is something for everyone, making this an ideal place if you are looking for a present or an affordable piece of original art. There's easy parking right outside and great views over the marina and the SS Great Britain opposite.
