Situated in a park next to the river Thames, the House holds one of the world's best collections of 17th century furniture, a display described by one antiques expert as 'furnished like a great Prince's'. Outside, the gardens comprise, parterres, flower gardens, orangeries, groves, avenues, courts, fountains and aviaries - all at the bank one of the most historic rivers in the world.
