Museum im Stasi Bunker

Alfred-Frank-Siedlung 439, Machern, Leipzig, Germany
Tel: +49 341 961 24 43 Web: Visit this site »

Like the museum in the Runde Ecke, this museum is dedicated to the role played by the Stasi, East Germany's notorious secret service, in the history of Leipzig. This (seemingly) indestructable bunker, was built as a place where politicians and secret service members could flee to in the event of war. Located on a five hectare site in the district of Wurzen, the museum demonstrates how the Stasi worked and how its members would have lived during wartime. Admission is EUR 2.50.
