The Museum of Antiquities belongs to the University of Leipzig and is home to numerous archaeological treasures including some fine examples of Old Aegean arts and crafts. Visitors can admire the collection of over 450 clay vases, bronze figures and marble sculptures. A total of over 10,000 exhibits are on show throughout the museum, including a fascinating collection of Greek and Roman sculptures. The museum is well worth a visit and is suitable for both the young and not so young. Admission is 1,50 EUR for adults and free for children under 6.
