Leipzig's New Town Hall isn't actually that new anymore. Erected in 1905, the town hall was built on the foundations of the old Pleissenburg Castle, and is like its predecessor, embellished with imposing turrets and extravagant gables. Recently renovated, the 600 room building once again exudes all of its original splendour. It's well worth a visit.
