This gallery describes itself as a Centre for the promotion of international contemporary art. It places significant stress on experience-oriented exhibitions, project work and artist-in-residence programmes. An example of this is the stairway, which was decorated by New York artist Sarah Sze in 1969 with everyday items such as toothpicks and matches. Her aim was to link reason with chaos, and to produce a specific scenario of movement. The visitor definitely needs bring some understanding, and even a bit of courage, in order to step off the well-trodden path of normality and into a different world . Admission is EUR 2.50, children EUR 1.50.
