The Eisenmarket or Iron market constructed in 1935, is a replica of the original market that once stood there in the 13th century. Where in those days the Ironmongers sold their wares. Since 1938, it has been the home of the Hanneschen Theatre, a famous Cologne puppet theatre, which belongs to the many city stages. You will also find a memorial devoted to the local actor Willy Millowitsch.
