Bottmuhle

An der Bottmühle, Südstadt, Cologne, Germany

The ivy-covered Bottmuhle is one of the Sudstadt's most picturesque landmarks. The platform was built on the inner side of the city wall on which in 1587 a windmill was constructed. Later, in the year 1677-1678 the appearance of the mill changed once more. A tall stone tower was built on the site by the city stone-mason Andreas von Gulich.
