An original Bell telephone and a piece of underwater cable from the first transatlantic telephone line are particularly interesting historical artefacts. Visitors can also try their hand at Morse code and other forms of electronic communication. Various films elucidate specific exhibits and particular themes. The building was extended in 1990 and is now a modern, well-organised and detailed museum.
