Built in Bremerhaven in 1896 and named after a pirate, Rickmer Rickmers was turned into a maritime museum in 1987. After a turbulent history under the Portuguese and several changes of name, the three-mast galleon was bought by the association Windjammer fur Hamburg in 1975, thoroughly restored and given back its original name. The ship is now docked at the harbour entrance, close to the Landungsbrucken. The on-board restaurant offers authentic maritime meals and a special brunch on the first Sunday of every month. Numerous events and exhibitions are held here.

Admission: EUR 3
