The old steamer St.Georg is already more than one hundred years old. It was built in Hamburg in 1876 and served as a regular Alster ship until 1939. After it was renovated and fitted with a new steam engine in 1994, the Alstertourism company has given it scheduled tours again - just like in the old days. So you can go on a nostalgic trip round the inner and outer Alster lakes. The trip takes 45 minutes and at 11am and 2pm on Sundays they even have musical entertainment on board. You can also charter the steamer for private occasions or groups. Information on special tours and reservations is available on +49 40 792 2599. It's EUR 8.75 for adults, EUR 3.5 for children upto 16 years of age. The musical tour costs EUR 24.5-37.5.
