If you want to experience Lausanne from a different perspective - maybe even two - rent a boat or a bike from one of the lakeside companies. Delessert, open week-ends only in March, every day in high season, has small motorboats for speed demon-wannabes (no license required), pedal boats for the more easy-going person. Everything looks different when you are on a bicycle. Take a leisurely ride along the lakeside towards Lutry or join the trendy and try the portable push scooters. No helmets are provided; place closes in October. Cost: pedalos are around Sfr19 per hour; motor boats, Sfr 45; bikes and scooters Sfr12.P
