Everything you always wanted to know about mining and geology is answered here. As a refresher course, learn about Idaho's early days of mining from historical photographs and artifacts. Located next to the Old Idaho State Penitentiary, the museum offers exhibits showing the spectacular array of Idaho's geologic features. Lectures, field trips and other educational programs are also offered regularly. Entrance fees run $2 for adults and $1 for seniors and children.
