Buffalo's downtown Metro Rail works on an honor payment system with no ticket agents or turnstiles. However, passengers are occasionally required to show a "proof of payment" in the form of a ticket, transfer stub or monthly pass. Free transfers are allowed on one-way tickets to connecting Metro buses.One-way ticket tokens cost $1.25 while passes range from $44 for unlimited one-month, one-zone travel to $53 for multi-zone travel.Metro Rail runs along Main Street from the Auditorium station near the HSBC Arena to the South Campus station of SUNY at Buffalo.
