Duckling Day Parade99 Bedford St, Boston, MATel: (617) 426-1885 • Web: Visit this site » It's a Mother's Day tradition. During the warm months, tiny duckling sculptures inspired by the children's book Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McCloskey are a fixture in the Charles Street corner of the Public Garden. Each winter the statues are stored. Every Mother's Day, they return in a parade, designed especially for children, that winds through Boston Common and the Public Garden. The parade is sponsored by the Historic Neighborhoods organization. Registration is USD15 per family; every registered child receives a toy duck. Registration takes place at the Shaw Memorial on Beacon Street across from the State House. Family tickets: USD15-USD20.
