Parque PignatelliPaseo Cuellar, Zaragoza, SpainThis park is partly surrounded by Cuellar Avenue, and it leads from Sagasta Avenue to the Imperial Canal. In the middle of the park stands a statue in memory of Ramon Pignatelli (1734- 1793), patron of the city, who was an engineer and vice-chancellor of the University of Zaragoza. Amongst his works he ordered the construction of the Imperial Canal, the bullring and the Casa Misericordia (Mercy House). The statue was built in 1859 by Antonio Palao. It was first located in Aragon Square and in 1904 it was moved to Pignatelli Park.
